At Marion Smile Center, we are passionate about doing good for the sake of good. That’s why we have a history of partnering with worthy causes, such as Smiles for Life, a non-profit dedicated to donating urgently needed dental care to help poor, ill, disabled, or otherwise disadvantaged children.
Dr. Mark Marion, four-time winner of the prestigious Top Dentist award by Pittsburgh Magazine, is pleased to announce that Marion Smile Center has raised over $13,000 as part of our smile whitening campaign! From March to June each year, we offer professional dental whitening to all our valued patients. Each time someone whitened their smile they were able to make the world a little brighter too, because all of the proceeds were collected for charity.
The Smiles for Life Foundation and More
50% of the proceeds were then donated to the Smiles for Life Foundation. These funds will be used alongside others, to brighten the smiles and lives of needy kids locally and in areas such as the Dominican Republic (To date, Smiles for life has raised over $36 million, and provided dental care to thousands of children around the globe). The remaining funds will be donated to help our local community. This year we have chosen Zelienople Public Pool as our designated charity. On average, we typically raise over ten thousand dollars each year.
Dr. Marion is truly passionate about helping others, and has a long history of community involvement. He sincerely believes that giving others the chance to move forward is the best way to live. That’s why Dr. Marion has given back by participating in Smiles for Life, local projects such as supporting the Zelienople Public Library in 2016, and the local Zelienople community pool this year.
Dr. Marion and the staff of Marion Smile Center have also provided dental care alongside other dental professionals in Pennsylvania. The Mission of Mercy (Mom-n-PA) provides dental care to poor families who would otherwise have no way to get the dental care they desperately need. Using roughly 100 dental chairs, dental volunteers were able to provide extractions, root canals, cleanings, fillings and more to needy families.
