However, Dr. Marion feels the most pride for the charitable work he and his staff at Marion Smile Center do to help children in their community and throughout the world.
Doing Good for the Community
Dr. Marion and his staff are excited to be participating in a cause that is close to their hearts, Toys for Tots. The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December of each year, and to distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community.
Marion Smile Center is proud to be partnering with other members of the greater Pittsburgh area to benefit this important cause. Dr. Marion and his staff are eager to help Toys for Tots exceed their goals and provide toys to children all over Pittsburgh who may not have otherwise had presents for Christmas.
How We Contribute to Our Community
Dr. Marion is extremely passionate about doing good for the community. In the last four years alone, Marion Smile Center has donated over $45,000 to worthwhile charities that benefit our area. In addition to Toys for Tots, Dr. Marion and the Marion Smile Center have organized and participated in numerous fundraisers, including breast cancer awareness, oral cancer awareness, and Smiles for Life – a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to providing dental care for ill, disabled, or disadvantaged children in low-income families.
From March through June of each year, Marion Smile Center donates 100 percent of the proceeds of the teeth-whitening procedures (over $10,000) to charity. Half of that money is donated to Smiles for Life, and the other half goes to local charities in Zelienople.
Being a proud member of the Zelienople community, Dr. Marion has always felt it was important to give back to the community he loves so much. This is why he and his team at Marion Smile Center participate in Charity Day by providing free dental care in his office on that day. This year, Marion Smile Center ran a fundraising campaign to raise money to construct a children’s play area at Zelienople Park. In previous years, Marion Smile Center has raised money for the Zelienople Pool and the Zelienople Public Library.
