Marion Smile Center is making sure of it as they embark on their 4th annual charity event with “Smiles for Life”.
The campaign “YOU Whiten, WE Donate 100%”, runs March 1st to June 30th of 2019. During that time, we will whiten patients’ teeth with 100% of the proceeds benefitting two causes. Half will be donated to Smiles for Life to give dental care to underprivileged children throughout the world. The other half will be donated our local fire department, Harmony Fire District #22. Dr. Marion selected the Fire Department because of the help that the firefighters gave when our building flooded last summer. With several inches of water in the lower level and no power, Dr. Marion turned to the local fire department to help him. Within minutes, the firefighters arrived and began pumping out the storm water. Dr. Marion is forever grateful to them.
We are excited to help the fire department purchase a thermal imaging camera. It’s described as an indispensable tool for firefighters. Their current cameras are 10 years old, and consequently slow, out-of-date, and unreliable. Marion Smile Center has an excellent track record of turning spectacular oral care into donations for charity. Over the past three 3 years, their campaign has raised over $39,000, and they aim to collect another $16,000 this year. Who knew whitening your teeth would make the world a better place?
