Dr. Marion is aware that some people are not super comfortable with coming to see a dentist, and that is ok! He invites people from all walks of life, with all different dental backgrounds. One thing everyone seems to have in common is wanting a healthy, bright smile! Sedation Dentistry in Zelienople, PA
One item on the Comfort Menu that is most effective at putting patients at ease from about 4 years old and older is Nitrous Oxide Sedation (laughing gas). Nitrous is a mild sedative that can easily be turned up or down and is given through a nose piece. Patients love that they can drive themselves to the dental appointment, relax and breathe in the Nitrous Oxide during their cleaning or restorative work, breathe in oxygen for a few minutes, and then they’re good to go! It’s such a convenient way for patients to feel calmer without having to have someone else drive them to their appointment. Pair Nitrous with noise canceling headphones and some great music (of your choice, of course!) and you have a recipe for comfort – patients love the combo!
