Smiles for Life Foundation
Since 1998, the mission of the Smiles for Life Foundation has been to brighten the smiles of seriously ill, disabled, and underprivileged children in local and international communities. Smiles for Life partners with the Crown Council, a group of some of the best dental teams, who are passionately committed to promoting the importance of oral health while fighting oral cancer and serving communities by donating to charities and doing community service projects.
The Smiles for Life Foundation has already raised over $36 million dollars. As well, the organization has set up three clinics in poor countries that are in need, such as the Dominican Republic. We hope to pay it forward and teach locals to provide dentistry to the less fortunate in their communities.

Whiten Your Teeth to Help Children AND Our Local Library
Throughout the United States and Canada, dental practices such as ours, Marion Smile Center, donate their time to professionally whiten people’s teeth in honor of these underprivileged kids through the Smiles for Life teeth whitening campaign. A company called Ultradent donates the Opalescence® teeth whitening materials to make it possible for the participating dentists to give people beautiful smiles, while making an impact and giving a reason for these underprivileged kids to smile again, too.
When you pay for your teeth whitening, all proceeds will go to charity. One half of the proceeds will go to the Smiles for Life Foundation, and will be distributed to worthy children’s charities, such as Children’s Miracle Network, Children of Romania, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, CURE (in Cambodia), Smile for Hope, and the Kids Cancer Care Foundation.
The other 50% of the proceeds go to the participating dentists’ chosen local charity. Marion Smile Center, led by Dr. Mark Marion, has named the Zelienople Area Public Library as their local charity of choice for the 2016 Smiles for Life teeth whitening campaign.
Dr. Marion is a supporter of the local library. Like many United States libraries, they are having financial difficulties. As of May 31, 2016, Marion Smile Center has raised almost $8,000, or 80%, of our $10,000 goal. The campaign will run until June 30, 2016.
Make a Difference Today
Whether or not you choose to have your own smile whitened, you can make a HUGE difference. Some patients have chosen to make a monetary donation instead of whitening. You will feel good knowing that because of your contribution, less fortunate children will now have a healthier lifestyle and happy smiles.
Make a difference and donate to the Smiles for Life Foundation today. We appreciate you and the difference you are making in the lives of these children.
