As an essential service, our dental office remained open under strict health protocols designed to keep our employees and patients safe. Even though many things may have changed, our commitment to your dental health and safety remain our top priority.
Patients experiencing mouth pain, discomfort, or sensitivity had sought immediate relief from Dr. Mark A. Marion, DMD, FAGD. By keeping our practice open to meet our patients’ needs, we helped limit unnecessary visits to hospital emergency rooms and saved valuable hospital resources for those who needed it most.
Teledentistry with Dr. Marion
We have made virtual consultations available to accommodate individuals who may not be comfortable visiting our office. Before the consultation, patients need only send a photo or video of their teeth and explain their problem for our staff to assess. For existing patients, Dr. Marion can access their prior dental records. Depending on the severity of your condition, Dr. Marion may issue an e-script for a medication and save you a costly visit to the emergency room.
If Dr. Marion deems it necessary to perform dental work, appointments are scheduled in his office for your safety. Dr. Marion can also evaluate the dental situation of patients seeking a second opinion and craft a personalized treatment plan. Whether it’s teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, or dental implants, Dr. Marion has the clinical expertise to help you achieve a bright and healthy smile.
New Technology
In 2020, Marion Smile Center purchased additional PPE, instituted even more sterilization procedures, and added dental equipment that minimizes aerosol spread. We updated our HVAC system to bring new fresh outside air into the office at least every 15 minutes. We also invested in a Digital Impression Scanner allows for more comfortable “goo-free” impression. The higher resolution digital scans result in even more beautiful dental cases.

The prestigious recognition is based on votes cast by fellow dentists and specialists in the Pittsburgh area, attesting to its impartiality.
Dr. Marion, a 3rd generation dentist, has upheld the family tradition of delivering quality and patient-centered dental care. As he builds on this legacy, Dr. Marion continues to stay abreast of the latest innovations in dental healthcare as well as restorative and cosmetic dentistry.
Doing Good
Dr. Marion and the team at Marion Smile Center are dedicated to bringing world-class dental care beyond the Pittsburgh area. As part of our annual charitable contributions, we have raised over $10,500 for the Smiles for Life Foundation this year. The proceeds will fund our humanitarian dental trip, where we will provide free dental care to underprivileged children and families.
Every year, we donate 4 months’ worth of proceeds from our teeth whitening services to a select charity. As of December 2020, we have raised over $65,500 for various charitable causes,1/2 of which benefit our local Zelienople / Harmony community.
